Sneha Sagar Society was established in 1999 in an urban area on the outskirts of Mumbai, West India, and was officially registered on March 31, 2001. Founded by Sr. Martha Mandal, the organization was born from a deep commitment to uplift the poor and marginalized.
The journey began with providing free education to children living in slums and offering coaching classes to help women become economically independent. Over the years, the Society has expanded its mission to serve the most vulnerable—educating children, supporting socially disadvantaged and orphaned children, and rehabilitating destitute women.
Sneha Sagar Society also promotes women’s empowerment through non-formal education in child care, family welfare, health, hygiene, and human rights. Through these initiatives, the organization continues to transform lives by fostering dignity, self-reliance, and hope among marginalized communities.
