Established in 1999 in an urban area bordering Mumbai, West India, the Sneha Sagar Society was officially registered on March 31st, 2001. Founded by Sr. Martha Mandal, whose vision was to improve the lives of the poor, the organization began by providing free education to children living in slums and offering coaching classes to empower women economically. The Society's work focuses on assisting the impoverished and disadvantaged, including educating children and rehabilitating socially handicapped children, orphans, and destitute women. Furthermore, women receive informal education in areas such as child care, family health, hygiene, and human rights, thereby empowering marginalized sections of the community.

Aid From Mumbai to Manipur for Kukis and Meiteis through Sneha Sagar Society
Dear Friends, Well Wishers and Benefactors,
Greetings from Sr. Martha Mondal.
I am writing to inform you that we have returned from Manipur after a ten-day relief mission. Our sisters and I visited numerous camps housing both Kuki and Meitei individuals. We listened to their accounts of the traumatic events during the attacks and witnessed the ongoing challenges they face in the camps.
Firstly, they have suffered the loss of their homes and possessions, and tragically, many have lost loved ones. Delivering relief supplies directly to the Kuki camps is extremely challenging due to restrictions and stringent security measures. We were able to visit a few Kuki camps, but only with considerable difficulty. I will share some photographs, though not all, with you. We distributed relief items to three camps, and the remaining supplies will be distributed by the Fathers and social workers to the other camps, with special permission.
The people are deeply grateful for your support and have promised special thanks and prayers. My sincere gratitude to you all for your kindness.
We earnestly pray that the situation will soon be resolved, as the suffering of the people is profound.

Dear friends,
This is Sr Martha Mondal, greetings to you all and pray you all are keeping great.
I just want to inform you that we have opened a house at Delhi for aged home for women since few months , Sneha Sagar aged home , it's not totally for free or for destitute but something they can pay because we also need funds to run the house. If you know any one looking out for a place for their aged relatives or friends you can direct them since there are vacancies in our aged home since it's open newly. The age group can be 65 and above, it's only for women. You must be knowing people or friends and relatives in Delhi, you can forward this message, may be for some people it will be helpful. You also can direct your friends to our ashram for any kind of help. Food grains, clothes or even furniture. Our sisters are trying their best in Delhi to help out the poor people. They are also giving tuition to the poor children with minimum fees, distributing cooked food every day.

Dear friends we the Sneha Sagar Society members are trying to raise fund for the purchase of property for our orphanage where we are already staying through ketto, crowd fund raising organization.
